Enclosure Design?

Hi, if you are thinking about using a Hammond 1590B, I have one right here and is it too small and not deep enough (for the shield and for the Arduino MEGA).

Has anyone constructed or 3d printed an enclosure for this pedal?

No, so far nobody did it YET.

Is there room in the Shield PCB Length to shave 1/16th" off each end?

the top of the board is pretty empty, but the OLED connector is just there, maybe if you cut the top and then wire the 4 lines of the OLED display directly to the Arduino Pins you can save that 2 x 1/16th. But it would be messy.



Maybe a 1590N1... I never tried it.
Hammond also makes some transparent plastic enclosures which are easier to cut/shave.

Yes, you can trim the top of the board and then just connect ground, 5V, SDA(20) and SCL(21) to the OLED.
