Whenever I compile a Pedal-Pi-All-Effects code, I come across this message:
gcc: error: rt: No such file or directory
gcc: error: rt: bcm2835: No such file or directory
gcc: error: unrecognized command line option -1
gcc: error: unrecognized command line option -1

Hi, could you tell us which compiling options are you using?
are you doing: gcc -o example -l rt example.c -l bcm2835 ?

Yes

PS: I also downloaded the Raspbian Jessie from this page: www.electrosmash.com/forum/pedal-pi/202-...ing-pedal-pi?lang=en

Am I missing any steps?

Hi, I am trying to reproduce your issue here, but so far I am not able to.
Anyway, dont worry we will figure this out.

So, are you using the Operating System image that we uploaded to Mega.nz? If you are using it, it is the best way to do it as this image has the Bcm2835 libraries already installed.

In the OS, just go to the pedalSHIELD effects folder and use the gcc command: gcc -o example -l rt example.c -l bcm2835

make sure that the commmand is right: l is an "L“ from "library" not a capital "i", etc...
