Guitar tuner project - question

8 years 5 months ago #380 by 1tal
hey guys, i would like to use the pedalshield for a project concerning an automatic guitar tuner and i have a question that might be stupid but whatever:

i would like to make a guitar tuner, and i wanted to use labview interface for arduino or linx, but unfortunately neither of them supports arduino due... so i was thinking that since i only need the input stage of pedalshield to amplify the guitar signal, will the shield work with arduino uno if i connect the proper pins with an uno board (CONN5/1 - AD0, and the power supply pins)?

thanks for your replies,
gary

Hi, yes it would work if you connect the input stage to the Arduino UNO AD0 it would work, BUT:
  • Be sure that your Arduino DUE and UNO share also the ground signal.
  • The Arduino DUE input stage is designed to work with signals from 0 to 3V3 volts and Arduino UNO ADCs span are 0 to 5V so you would be losing part of the resolution.

If you have any other question just let us know.
