3D printed plastic cover

As somebody asked, here you can find the STL file of the 3D printed covers included with the kits.
This is the one with the logo "pedalSHIELD" on top of it...

Get it from Thingiverse .

We use ABS plastic with a 0.25 nozzle, but we've used the same STL file to print the cover with PLA plastic or with a 0.4 nozzle and it works fine as well.

Soon we will publish the design with the ElectroSmash thunder, meanwhile any suggestion or new design will be really welcomed! ;)

I'm probably going to make one out of wood since I have a garage full of tools and a wife always going on about using them for something.

Has anyone modeled or scanned the pedalshield? I would like to 3D print a case for it.

Hi Kalbertsen, I have moved your question here which seems to fit better.
So far we released the 3D printed cover native files but we did not print a full enclosure. It is a good idea though.

keep it simple

I've got one modeled up now, but I haven't been able to print it yet. I'm still working on getting my Form1 printing reliably. I'll submit a picture once I get it put together.

I copy/paste this here so it would help to somebody in the future:

Well @Ray,

The truth is that I finally dared to make my first 3D design and I already have it done and pending 3D printing in ABS. I hope I have taken the measures well, and it will serve me as an experience.

I leave here the link in case you want to see it. It is very simple and austere, although I hope it will do its job well.

Hi all,

here is a new version with some adjustments that improve the enclosure.
