Is my pedalshield dead?

6 years 7 months ago #1020 by BowDown
I was trying to develop some stuff on the pedalshield.
The only thing i am sure of, one digital pin i was using touched the GND of the audio jack.

Anyway, after that the pedalshield doesnt work i think.
I uploaded the test-all.ino program but nothing shows up on my serial monitor (9600 baud).

If nothing shows up, does this mean my pedalshield is dead?

Hi, I sorry to see what happened to you
pedalSHIELD is pretty hard to break, sometimes I do really tough things to it and it always survive.
I think that what you really mean is "is my Arduino DUE dead?"

First of all, I will disconnect the shield from the Arduino board and play with the arduino DUE to see if it still works.
In the Arduino software, if you go into File/Examples/... there are plenty of simple codes that can help you to see if your board is still there (like blink an LED, serial communication, etc...) is worth a try!

My experience with pedalshield has been the devil hahaha. The Due works fine, though programming it and fiddling with codes i have come around some other weird stuff, a particular one is really bizzare. I will post in a different thread, Thanks!
