The footswitch yes, I have seen some people inserting it rotated 90 degrees which is almost impossible but I guess that if you apply force you could end up bending the PCB and doing it, so make sure that looks like the picture: www.alexander-weinhold.de/uploads/20150704_pedalshield.png
The 2 toggle switches work either way, so you can place them freely.
Hi, I need to finish this for tomorrow, is there any way I can do this without the PCB board? I have everything! The PCB hasn't arrived yet, please help its for my project at university!

Thanks for the great build and tutorial, all of the documentation and forum stuff was so helpful in ensuring everything went smoothly.
Currently I am having trouble laying down the top over the components. It seems the cover holes are too small to thread past the nuts of the tall components. As a result, the cover does not sit flush on the unit and cannot be screwed down. I've attached some pictures for reference..
Please advise. Again, thanks for a great first hardware project experience.

I can see the problem in the last photo (named a.jpg). You need to remove all the nuts, washers and the white plastic from the footwsitch, once you have removed all the nuts and spacers you have to place first the footswtich, second the acrylic and third the white spacer, washer and nuts.
Doing that you will lower the Acrylic in one side and all will be flat.
