UNO compatibility issue? Shield pins dont line up

UNO compatibility issue? Shield pins dont line up was created by miaryan
I assembled my shield and before powering it on I noticed what appears to be a compatibility issue with my UNO. The header sizes are different. I have attached photos of both of the sides of the uno/shield differences in pins, as well as a shot of my UNO and its headers. Are there any changes I can make with the hardware/software to make it work?

You have one of the "old" Arduino UNO rev1 or 2, this models have this2 pins left.



Newer rev3 models have these 2 extra I2C pins.
Anyway, these pins are not used and you do not need to apply any changes in the hardware or software :)
