Great little kit.

My advice (since I messed it up pretty good and it took 2 days to troubleshoot)

Use a fine tip soldering iron and a magnifying glass if you can.
Also use solid core solder, NOT rosin core solder.

It sounds great hooked up to a 1x12 cab!!!!!!!!!

I really enjoyed the kit. Really nice to assemble and play with. I think it's a great touch that you guys have the Raspberry Jessie Lite distro with everything pre-loaded. I actually have an idea to improve the project... Just an outlined idea right now but I'll update if I'm able to get it off the ground

Performance: It is surprisingly good, although it does tail off at the higher frequencies.

Just finished the Fuzz build with some classic AC125's. LOVE the sound! Just what I was hoping for! The resistor trimmers are an inspired solution.
I had a buddy stop over to try it and he is hooked as well and plans to order a kit.
I'm now going to be doing a Pi-Pedal build as well with another friend.

For assembly/insertion into the box for the fuzz. After break apart. Step 1, gently move Jacks under foot switch board. Then put top of foot switch only in hole for alignment.
Tuck Jack's at 45 deg into side holes and use pliers to align. Slide foot switch reminding way in and loosely screw on outer nut.
Slide 1 plastic shim onto jack collar inside of case (might need to push jack into middle of case for clearance) then align with hole with pliers again and with outer collar and a plastic shim installed loosely screw in metal jack nut.

Finalize alignment of Jack's and foot switch and tighten then insert board with POTs.
That worked a treat for me.

Though perhaps a bigger case next time might be easier.

Thanks for sending the Germanium Fuzz kit. It arrived yesterday and I had it built and tested in just a couple of hours.
The build instructions were very clear and the YouTube video of the build procedure was really useful.

My son has now tried it out and is very impressed with it particularly using it as a Bass Fuzz.

Just a comment from my experience building it:
- The pots cant be just soldered onto the board as per the instructions as they need the leads bent a bit to align them with the holes in the box. I found it best to place the pots upside down in the top of the box to get the correct spacing and then put the PCB on top of them to solder them on. That way the legs of the pots can be tweaked to fit the PCB with the correct spacing to fit the box.

Thanks for a great kit - really good performer.
