available (unused) pins

5 años 3 semanas antes #1719 por aalbinger
Greetings. I just ordered a time manipulator kit. Looking through the block schematic and at the populated PCB photos it appears that pins 17,18 & 19 (D11,D12,D13 in Arduino) are unused.

Is it fair to assume those are available for use elsewhere? I was considering adding long jumper wires to those 3 pins, 5v and ground when building my kit so that an additional switch, LED, or maybe a MIDI port could be hacked in later.

Thoughts?

Hi Andrew, if you have a look at the schematic: www.electrosmash.com/images/tech/time-ma...ulator-Schematic.pdf

All the pins with an "X" in the end are free to use (PB3 to PB7), which are pins 17, 18, 19, 9 and 10 looking at:

You can use these pins to experiment, but please show your mods in the forum!

Could you use clk pin 5 from PT2399 to synchronize Delay with tap or midi?

The pin 5 of the PT2399 gives a frequency that is too high to be read by a uC (2 to 20MHz), have a look at the "Pin 5" section of our analysis : www.electrosmash.com/pt2399-analysis
