Are you writing to serial? If so, what baud rate are you using?

I was logging to serial initially. It was at 9600. I tried some faster speeds, but none of them worked. I set it to 9600 both in the IDE and in the code.

Apologies for the late reply, but as of yet, I haven't been able to figure a way to log with the sampled sketches. Since most of the noise appears to be picked up through the ADC, if you use the unsampled clean sketch to record some serial data, and process that data after the fact by reprogramming the effect in python (or whatever you are using), you should end up with nearly the exact same thing.
