Guide to troubleshoot pedalSHIELD.

Hi Yago,

Sure. I have tried will different power supplies, including an external battery, but is always noisy. Does the reading on pin 3 ring any bells? It's 0.8 instead of 0.1.

it may be because the pedal is taking too much current...
- Did you check the power supply voltages at the test points? do you have +5V, -5V, +3.3V and 1.6V (Bias)?
- What voltage can you measure on the pins of R2? they should be +1.6 and 0.8.
- Did you check if the output stage is working fine?

I have tested the output. It's a bit noisier than the sample hosted in soundcloud.

Do you mean that it works but it is noiser than the soundclound example? the sinewave generator noise should be almost zero.

R2 1.6 and 0.8

the voltage drop here is too big (1.6-0.8=0.8V in theory this voltage drop should be around 0.3V) something should be wrong in the input stage... maybe you can take some closeup pictures of your pedal and send them to me to info-at-electrosmash.com
