I am only receiving output on the left channel from my newly built pedalSHIELD, testing with sinewave generator program. How should I go about debugging this?

The output jack is stereo. It should be the standard type prescribed on the pedalSHIELD BOM.

You are right, the jack (female) is stereo but the plug (male) has to be male.

What do you mean, that the male plug has to be mono?
So, if I understand you correctly, the pedalSHIELD is a mono device even though its jacks are stereo?

I meant that the pcb jack (female) is stwreo and the cable (male) has to be mono.
pedalSHIELD as almost all the guitar gear is a mono device, the electric guitar/bass is a mono device by definition. So using a mono cable you will get the same signal in the left and right channel.
